Funny English Everywhere.
Ever been out shopping or running errands and noticing some boutiques dat advertise in poor and sad english? Well, i'll bet dat every single person has seen those advertisements, maybe they just don't realise dat the advertisements are actually... stupidly wrong.
Every year during the month of May and June, almost all the departmental stores and shopping malls in Singapore have what we commonly known as The Great Singapore Sale or the GSS in short. This is when we start seeing lots and lots of notices in small boutiques advertising dat they're currently having 'saleS'. Everytime i pass by a shop whereby they inform us, consumers that they're having sales, i just feel like stomping right into the shop and tell them the correct syllable to use is 'SALE'. NOT SALES! GrrrRRr!!! Am i wrong??? Is it just me or are there really so many people out there who don't understand how to differentiate the true meaning of sales and sale???
I was doign some shopping with AHmah on Friday coz the GSS just started and we wanted to get some really cheap and good deals (which happened to be a printing error btw) at Robinsons Centrepoint. So upon finding out dat there was some error in printing, we decided to just shop around for acessories. We were just walking around at Heeren when we passed by this particular shop dat has a advertisement pasted at one of its glass panel. This is how the advertisement read:
Sales Assistant Wanted.
-Minimum 'O' Levels
-Able to start work immediately
-Responsibility
Erm... shouldn't the more appropriate word be responsible instead of responsibility? You wan to hire someone who is able to start work immediately and is responsibility???? So... if i wanted the job.. i would have to go in and say...
'Hi~ My name is ShuiYi. I have a Diploma in Marketing and i'm able to start work immediately. Oh! Btw, I am a responsibility person. Please hire me.'
Why the hell not just say..
'Hi~! My name are ShuiYi. I has a Diploma in Marketing and i is able to start work immediately. Oh, btw, i is also an responsibility people. Please hired me.'

2006 BigWalk & The Da Vinci Code
Went over to ahmah's place on sat coz we were going to the Big Walk on Sunday~! Was feeling rather excited at first and we were talking about completely the entire 10km like we did the last time we went. In the end, ahmah, chris and i ended up sleeping really late and we were woken up by ahmah's mother at a freaking 5AM....so..... u noe the consequences. ahahAHah
The walk was supposed to start at 7.30am but fearing dat we couldn't find a parking lot, we left ahmah's hse at around 5.45. And we arrived at Kallang at 6.15!!!!! *faints* Ahmah's parents were really excited while we were like 3 walking zombies with lack of sleep. Ahmah sort of 'woke up' when it was around 7 and she started feeling hungry. I was forever feeling hot and chris was just stoning throughout.
In the end, we ended up walking onli 2km out of the 10 dat we were supposed to complete coz ahmah...er.... was almost crippled along the way. Before the walk even started, she stratched her knee, which ended up in a super big and gross blueblack. ahAhAHa.... stupid. Den she injured her thigh while walking and we ended taking wadever shortcut we could find and went back to the starting point. If u asked me, i thought it was sad dat we onli walked 2km. Actually, i tink we walked less than 2km coz throughout our entire journey, we were taking every shortcut dat were in sight, across teh carpark, across the grass, behind the buses, etc etc. ahAhAHA.. We totally wasted our money registering for the event. The onli thing dat we got out of it was the goodie bag. And it sucks.
Ahmah kept scolding me for agreeing to join the event when her mum approached me. Well, her mum approached me! Could i have said No???? *bleah* Anyway, i foresee this is gonna be the last time we're doing something so healthy. We are lazy and unhealthy people. This sort of event is not for us. =)
On another note, ahmah and i caught the DaVinci Code this morning. Stupid woman.. told her mother dat she had morning class and i ended up suffering with her. Woke up at a freaking 8.30am!! Met up with her at PS Mac for breakfast, den walked over to Cathay to purchase the movie tickets.
The theatre is FREAKING COLD can!! I almost became a huge lump of ice. And it didn't help dat the movie was 2hr and 40mins long. My back almost broke and i tink the guy sitting in front of me was having a headache. ahaHAah..
Anyway, i read from newspapers and internet articles dat the movie, apparently was a huge disappointment for many DaVinci Code lovers. I loved the book as well but i know we can't possibly expect the movie to be an exact duplicate of the book rite??!?! Wad did those people expect? The book is so blardy thick, with so much infomation. Unless the movie is 10 hours long, it is highly impossible for the movie to be as good as the book.
I thought the movie was not bad. At least its got the gist of the book. Though there really isn't much chemistry between Tom Hanks and the female lead. But its not a bad show nonetheless and i tink the StraitsTimes is giving it too little credit by rating it 2 out of 5 stars. 3 lah ok? One more star won't kill rite????? Selfish leh.. U guys noe wad happens to selfish people?? THEY GO TO HELL. ahAhAHAhA!!!!! AhAHAHahhAhA!!!!!! This is supposed to be a private joke between ahmah and i. But i've decided not to be selfish (coz i dun wan to go to hell) and share the joke with everyone i love. FOr those of u who dun find it funny.. well, i kinda expected it. Stupid people all around u see. ahAhaAH!!!

FINALLY~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!
Finally!! After a year of cursing and praying... My JIE LUN finally realise his mistake and broke up with dat Patty bitch!! Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes!!! *jumps around the room* BuAhahAha... This goes to show... Nothing is impossible! Now dat my Jie lun is single and available... I have my chance again!!! I AM SOoOOOO FUCKING HAPPIE!!!!! His breaking up with Patty makes up for every unfortunate thing dat happened to me. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! YES~~~!!!!
On another note.. ahmah, chris and i are going to the Big Walk tmr~ Ho Ho ho..

A late post (Poseidon.... plus an underage porn show)
Caught Poseidon with ahmah on MOnday~ Er... not a fantastic show.. but not bad lah. Can just buy the dvd to watch it at home instead. Actually we were not there for the plot or anything. In fact, ahmah's just there coz i forced her to watch it with me. Me? I'm there onli for Josh Lucas. I love his eyes. So green, so blue, so fake. ahAhAHa.. Wadever.
We went to Suntec to buy the tickets first, den proceeded on to Mac for lunch. There, i felt as though i had already watched a porn flick. Underage porn summore. There was this underage couple, the guy in school uniform summore, who were soOoOOoOoOo in love dat they were almost doing it at Mac already. The girl... is the most CHILDISH and GROSS.. thing i've ever seen. Thoughout the entire time ahmah and i were eating, they were busy cuddling, kissing, hugging, flirting, pinching, stroking..... wadever things u can think of, they're doing it. Ok maybe except for sex. But i'd bet u if the MacDonalds management provided them with a bed, they'll be doing it. As they were sitting directly oppsite me, i couldn't help but keep looking at them whenever i sensed a movement from their direction. And then there was this time, when the girl, was bent over the guy, attempting.... i tink... to give head to the guy. *puke* Omg! My eyes! Ahmah even had to ask me if i wanted to exchange seats with her so i would stop making faces at them. Too bad we couldn't recognise the guy's uniform.. if not... i would definitely write to the school. It was horrendous! They did so much more than wad i've said here.. if i were to list them all out, i tink i will still be typing this entry at 3 in the morning. Yucks.
Anywayz.. Da Vinci Code screens tmr!! I wanna watch! But a cb person can onli meet tmr so had to cancel some earlier plans. Stupid. I do have a question again though.. why is the movie rated NC16? For those who've read the book, is there any scene that requires parental guidance or anything at all? Maybe a rating of NC16 for Angels and Demons. But... Da Vinci Code.. NC16? Why? Hmm.. actually.. come to tink of it.. they should rate it R21. Then there will be perfect silence from everyone in the cinema. AhHAAhHAA.. Yes, i am selfish. Ahmah says selfish people go to hell.. DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE?!
